Today was my first day of my sophomore year of college. For those of you that may have missed it, I changed schools. I packed up all my things and moved home; once a Houstonian, always a Houstonian. I missed my city, my routine and my favorite shops. I missed my normalcy that can only be found in one spot: Houston.
Instead of going to main campus, I chose to go downtown. I didn’t even apply at main campus. I’m taking sixteen hours again this semester. Lord, help me. Here’s my schedule:
Mondays and Wednesdays
US History to 1877 10:00am-11:15am
Statistics 11:30am-12:45pm
Psychology 1:00pm-2:15pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) 10:00am-11:15am
American Literature after 1865 11:30am-12:45pm
A&P Lab 1:00pm-2:15pm
I only have 17 hours of nursing prerequisites left to finish before nursing school. My plan is to take my last history online over winter break so next semester will only be 14 hours. We’ll see how that goes.
Though my first class didn’t start until 10am, I left my house at 8:30am because I’d never really gone downtown by myself to visit the campus. I left my house this morning armed with a map I printed off of my college’s website and my GPS system and after 30 minutes of driving around, I finally figured everything out. I told myself I was not going to get frustrated or upset and just take deep breaths. I stopped and asked a campus police officer for help and it was all downhill from there :)
Hope everyone is doing amazing!!!
