This post is picture heavy…fair warning!
After Easter came the last day of classes [May 2], dead day (the day you don’t do ANYTHING before finals) [May 3], and then finals started [May 5]. I stayed at my Grammy’s house from my last day at Barton Creek [I’m transferring to the Galleria here in Houston but my last day at BC was May 7] to the day before my last final [May 10]. My mom and stepdad came to move me out of my dorm along with my Uncle Alan.
While at Grammy’s, I relaxed a lot and just took everything in, so to speak.
Uncle Mark cooked his delicious barbeque chicken. I loved it!
Popey and I also worked in the garden. We picked peaches together and then I picked green beans by myself because Popey can’t really bend like that anymore.
I helped Grammy in the kitchen and Uncle Mark was being a goofball :p
My roommate and I moved out of our dorm room. Here we are in front of our door. Room 128= Procrastination Station :)
Popey and his big sister Aunt Helen after Aunt Helen’s daughter’s funeral. Aunt Helen’s daughter was 49 and died at 7am on Mother’s Day. She left behind a sister, fiancĂ©e, son and mother along with countless aunts, uncles and cousins. It wasn’t totally unexpected and while I wasn’t close to her, those in my family that were are pretty devastated. :( Her funeral was this past Thursday.
Today, I went skeet shooting with my dad and his men’s group from church. I don’t do a whole heck of a lot with him for a number of reasons but I do love him and am making more of an effort to have a relationship with him. I don’t want to look down at him in a casket one day and regret not having a better relationship with him and wondering what could be with us. He’s in the Hawaiian looking shirt and baseball cap. We had a blast; he shot a 12g and I a 20g. My shoulder is sore from the “kick” and I’m sunburned compliments of my foolish decision not to wear sunscreen but oh well!
After we shot, we went to have BBQ and on our way out of the parking lot to the BBQ place we saw this bird under the tree. It was sort of camouflage but pretty nonetheless.
I sincerely apologize for my gap between posts and hope you’ll forgive me! On the bright side, grades come out officially on Monday. OH THE WAIT!! [I’m not too worried :p }

LOL I love the photo of your uncle sticking his tongue out - that's really funny! :)
Good luck for when your grades come out, if you're not worried I'm sure you will have done fine. :)
Can see why you have been busy and I am sure you have made the right decision moving back to Houston!!!
Good luck working on your relationship with your dad. I've had the same realization, about what "could have been". I'm so glad that I picked up the phone and called him a year and a half ago. Good luck!!!
Those peaches look SO yummy! Hope the end of the semester went smoothly!
Nursing is a good career. You can get a job with a very good pay. My wife and myself are both nurses.
