Houston Love

The weekend I went to Houston and got Paddington, I got to spend some time with some of my favorite people. I have known Adrienne and Ade’s (the kids above) parents since before they even got married. I love them. Their dad, Roy, takes all of our pictures, too. My mom attended their parents wedding as Brent and I were with our dad that weekend. We also visited the kids as babies when they were born at the hospital. The point to my babbling is that they are family. They have watched us grow up as we have their kids. We met through church and have been inseparable since. Regardless of what I am going to Houston for, seeing Annie, Roy, Adrienne and Ade is a priority when I go to church. After church, we always go to lunch together. I treasure those afternoons more than anything and look forward to going to Houston simply because of them. I adore them.

The last two pictures are of my Grammy’s pineapple upside down cake and my reaction to it. It was scrumptious. I went to visit them on Thursday the 31st. We ate chalupas and I helped Popey in the garden. Talk about a relaxing afternoon and evening. Grey’s Anatomy came up after supper. It was the musical episode and let me tell you: I sat on pins and needles. I experienced so many emotions in one episode; I felt as if I was on an emotional roller coaster. It was bad. I liked the musical part for the most part; I just felt it to be out of place on a medical show, if ya know what I mean!

I sincerely apologize for my absence. School has had me so overloaded and then adding 35 hours a week at work on top of that has barely given me time to sleep. We lost 2 out of 4 (I am one of the two still left) managers at my store so I’m working too much. That will all change soon enough…..stay tuned!
