Yes, I still get Easter baskets. My mom asked me the other day how long she would have to make me an Easter basket. I replied, “as long as the Easter bunny is still alive.” {Is that a bad thing?!} While I love celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, I look forward to receiving my Easter basket every year.
Below is my mom (#3) with her siblings. They’re missing my Uncle Mark. My mom is in the orange, my aunt (the oldest) is in Lavender and my Uncle Alan is in the plaid (#2). It was nice to see them all together and the relationships they share. Their relationships are so similar to yet so different to that of Brent and I. {Yes, Brent stayed home :( }
I treasure every moment I get to spend with Popey. I’m honestly dreading the day I loose my grandparents. While I hope it’s not for a long time, I do feel like Popey’s time with us is drawing to a close. He is just worn out. I know I should be grateful I am as close to my grandparents as I am and that I’ve had them far longer than a lot of my friends, but the selfish part of me wants to keep them forever. They’re so much a part of my life because they basically helped my mom raise me. They are always there for everything and I simply adore them. Dear Lord, please give me more time with them. Amen.
Hope y’all had an amazing Easter!!
