Today, my blog turns FOUR!! A few weeks ago I was typing out a blog post and I thought, "when did I start doing this?!" I then went back through my archives and found that on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 I began blogging. I was a freshman in high school. If you look at that first post, you can tell things have definitely changed with me. I cannot believe I've kept at this for so long because I'm pretty sure my mother told me I was going through a "phase!"

I was tempted to post a video for this, but time has gotten away from me.

Here's what I've learned over the last 4 years....

1) People can help you or hurt you. Bottom line. There are those out there that have the best and biggest hearts and those that are positive people that contribute nothing but good things to our lives. Then you have those that are ugly inside and want to bring you down. Those are the people we should stay far, far away from. They're not beneficial at all!

2) Life is full of choices and decisions. Some are small and do not require a lot of thought. The big ones test you and make you really contemplate. They require careful consideration and quite frankly, scare the $hit out of me! Those big ones are the things I take to my knees for and pray about. He helps the most.

3) Figuring out what you're most passionate about and running with it helps you enjoy life more. Doing things you don't enjoy will only make you miserable. Period.

4) Going "through the motions" and not really living is not something I want to say I did. When I get up to those pearly white gates in heaven some day, I want to be able to look back and say, "WOW, that was quite a ride!" I don't want to have a single regret.
